Alexandra Bojarski-Stauffer

Hometown/Training Base: Kansas City, MO
Sport: Triathlon
BEST Coach:  Joe Strandell

Alexandra Bojarski-Stauffer is a fierce and focused competitor with a deep passion for triathlon—and a journey marked by resilience, speed, and incredible growth. A former Varsity cross country and track runner in high school, Alexandra’s endurance roots run deep. She transitioned into road racing and cycling before fully embracing triathlon in 2019, where she made an immediate impact, placing 6th overall and winning her age group in her very first race.

From her breakthrough performance at Kansas City’s Hospital Hill Half Marathon to competing on the world stage, Alexandra’s trajectory has been defined by discipline and perseverance. In 2021, she placed 3rd overall in a triathlon and earned a coveted invitation to Nationals—only to be struck by a car while cycling later that year. The accident didn’t stop her. Instead, it fueled her determination. She spent months rebuilding her fitness, culminating in an impressive 6th-place age group finish and 50th overall female at the USAT Draft Legal Sprint National Championships in Dallas in April 2023.

In October 2024, Alexandra represented Team USA at the Draft Legal Sprint Triathlon World Championships in Spain, where she stood out as the 4th fastest American woman in both the swim and bike. She placed 29th out of 60 in her age group—a remarkable achievement on the global stage.

Why She Loves Triathlon:
Alexandra is inspired daily by the incredible camaraderie of the triathlon community. To her, triathletes are the most positive, dedicated, and energetic people around. She draws particular inspiration from the seasoned female athletes—many in their 60s—who continue to dominate the sport. Training, traveling, and learning from these fierce competitors keeps her grounded, humble, and hungry for more.

Current Goals:
Alexandra is currently preparing for the 2025 Draft Legal Sprint Triathlon World Championships in Australia, where she hopes to place in the top 10 in her age group.  Other goals for the 2025 race season include a top 5 finish at Sprint Nationals in Omaha in June, and top 10 in the Olympic Distance at USAT Nationals in Milwaukee. She also aspires to compete in a National Road Race and do well!

Proudest Achievement:
One of the things she’s most proud of is convincing her dad—at age 82—to start running 5Ks again last year. She’s been helping him with strength training and even got him a dog to encourage daily walks and jogs. Now, he joins her at races and competes too!   Just last month they finished the Trolley Run, a 4-mile race in Kansas City.

Fun Fact:
She lives and trains in Kansas City—yes, that Kansas City, home to local celebrities, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce!
