Always an active woman, Adalia’s early athletic ventures were in swimming, Ta e-kwon-do and running, which ultimately led to 5ks, 10ks and half marathons. In her late 20´s Adalia moved to Ireland where she started cycling and competing in triathlons. Her first triathlon was the Dublin City Sprint distance triathlon. The very next year she moved up to the Olympic distance.
Upon moving back to Mexico in 2013, Adalia got more serious with triathlon training and racing and ultimately qualified for the ITU World Championships in London. 2014 brought Ironman 70.3 racing where she competed in Monterrey 70.3 and Cozumel 70.3. A 3rd place finish in Cozumel earner her a spot at the 2015 70.3 World Championships in Austria. Since then, Adalia has risen in the ranks, has now had many top finishes in 70.3 races and has qualified for the 70.3 World Championships every season. Currently, she’s training for Ironman 70.3 Los Cabos (her favorite place to race), completing a rigorous Master’s degree in energetic law and working her normal job (busy woman!). Adalia’s running prowess has also qualified her for the 2019 Boston Marathon.
